"On my kid's tenth birthday I took her to work for me. I had to run an errand to the county courthouse. It's August in the desert, so there's a state wide burn ban and the heat is lifting from the cement roads looking like sheets. When we parked, my kid noticed a confederate flag on the truck parked to next to us. She looked terrified of it so I ripped the sticker off the truck and lit it on fire right there in the parking lot. We wrote this song together on our way home from that day." - Amber
